Albums I've been listening to lately, in no particular order.
deadmau5, 2008
My all-time favorite EDM album. "I Remember" is a song I must have listened to a thousand times, but don't miss out on the rest of the album: it's a complete work and should be listened to from start to finish!
Rufus du Sol, 2021
Sounds like the love child of EDM and Coldplay, just awesome. This album is getting a lot of play on SiriusXM's Chill channel, which is where I first heard it, and I assume it's getting a lot of play wherever finer EDM is sold.
Orkidea, 2011
Mostly punchy, but sometimes also beautiful and contemplative (sometimes in the same track). Seems like the artist built most of the tracks around a simple polysynth (like a Prophet-5 or Jupiter-8 or something) mixed with 808-style drums and great mixing. Dark and smooth sounds are mixed together.
Paul Van Dyk, 1994
Another classic electronica album. Groovy, lots of playful sounds, beats and timbre. Danceable, and good for working.
